Talia Vaughan will be kicking off the start of Real MMA XVI with the “National Anthem.” Currently, she is recovering from her second shoulder surgery and she is unable to compete but that is not stopping her from getting involved in the sport she loves.
Vaughan is a fourth-degree brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. She has been training for as long as she has been singing. This will be the first public event, outside of high school, she will be singing the “National Anthem” for. She is excited to be able to take part in the Real MMA XVI event.
Last year, Vaughan placed third in the World Jiu-jitsu Championship. In May, she will be five months post surgery and she is hoping to take first place at the World Championship the first week in June. She has started training for strength and conditioning and is confident she will be ready to train hard in May.
Come out on Jan. 26, 2018 and join Vaughan for Real MMA XVI.
